1-888-EZ-INK-SOLUTIONS

  • Three and a half quarts of oil are used to manufacture every laser toner cartridge. At the current rate of 188 million laser toner cartridges, that is more than 5 million gallons of oil every year.
  • Most cartridges can be refilled up to five times. Even without recycling, that cuts the landfill waste by FIVE TIMES!
  • Stacked end to end, the inkjet cartridges thrown away in one year would cover a distance of over 24,000 miles – enough to circle the earth.
  • In the US alone, an average of 8 cartridges is thrown away each second (252 million a year).
  • The total weight of those cartridges is equivalent to more than 30,500 African elephants.
  • Cartridges can take over 1000 years to decompose.
